RICHMOND, VA (WRIC) – Valentine will provide free HIV testing for World AIDS Day on December 1.
The museum is partnered with the Richmond Diversity and Nationz Foundation, a nonprofit focused on providing education and information on HIV prevention, health and wellness.
"We are delighted to collaborate with The Valentine and Diversity Richmond to provide education and information about HIV," said Zakia McKensey, founder of the Nationz Foundation. "It is important to erase the virus-related stigma and make sure everyone is aware of their condition."
Nationz Foundation will be on-site with their mobile testing unit and the food box, offering free HIV tests from 11am to 3pm.
"Valentine remains committed to our mission of following the community's commitment and providing relevant programs to people in the region," Valentine Bill Martin said. "We are honored to work with the Nationz and Diversity Richmond Foundation to provide free HIV testing for neighborhoods and neighborhoods as part of our Pandemic Exhibition and we look forward to additional partnerships like these that help us use history to inform us present and shape the future.
