About the test
The diagnostic test is voluntary, free and confidential. It consists of taking a small sample of blood that is obtained from a puncture in the yolk of a finger and placing it on a test strip, which in a few minutes gives a presumptive result.
To perform the test, you do not have to be in the full post, it is enough not to consume fatty foods two hours before taking the blood sample.
People diagnosed with HIV positive can access free controls and treatments, both through public health services and through social assistance coverage, in accordance with current national legislation.
The primary route of transmission of HIV infection and other hematopoietic infections is sex. Almost 100% of people of both sexes with HIV have contracted the infection during an unprotected sexual relationship, so it is advisable to always use a condom that, in addition to protecting against HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, prevents unwanted pregnancies.
In hospitals and health centers you can access free condoms as well as information on other prevention measures.
