Panic in Jujuy by tourist arriving from south with hantavirus | chronicle


A suspected case of hantavirus was reported on Thursday by Jujuy health authorities to a 29-year-old man from Río Negro, who is on a walk in the province with his family, reported.

The patient, after returning to his home in the center of San Salvador de Jujuy, was visited by the primary medical staff who checked him and his family.

"He is still in the observation, even if he has not suffered respiratory complications, other symptoms like diarrhea, fever, headaches and abdominal pain, his condition is generally good", Serra said.
