The newly discovered region of the brain could be part of what makes us unique


function Endorestiform Nucleus is still unknown, but is located near the junction of the brain and spinal cord of the inferior cerebellum, an area that combines sensory and motor information to improve the balance, position and control of the fine engine. For this reason, Professor Paxinos theorizes that the new region could play a role in the fine motor movements and could help in seeking treatments for diseases such as Parkinson's disease and motor neurons.
