Serena Williams returns to action against the glamorous girl Eugenie Bouchard on a nebulous night, the second debut tournament at the Australian Open.
Williams is in action at Rod Laver Arena against former No.5 Bouchard, who is trying to rediscover her old form.
However, an epic conflict between Stan Wawrinka and Milos Raonic, which lasted more than four hours, followed by a three-setter between world no. 1 Simona Halep and American Sofia Kenin saw the start of the late night session for an hour and a half.

Serena and Genie are ahead of another match with a six-time winner, Novak Djokovic is backing his watch against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in a replay of the 2008 final.
Large-name meetings are unusual for this stage of the tournament, but Bouchard's and Tsonga's result dropped him on the leaderboard because of fighting for form and injury.
German world no.4 Alexander Zverev resumed his campaign, while surprisingly Austrian Alexei Popyrin took over the seventh Austrian seed Dominic Thiem.
