ICC Women involved in cricket in Commonwealth Games … – 707920 | Kaler Kantho

The International Cricket Council (ICC), the Cricket Executive Director, called for women to be involved in the Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, UK in 2022. A press release from the organization said on Monday that it was suggested to include women in cricket in the edition twenty years.

ICC Director-General David Richardson said: "Commonwealth Games will be more motivated by cricket, this is our primary goal. Women must make a good partnership with the Cricket and the Commonwealth." This is because Games Commonwealth can eliminate discrimination in terms of women's development, equality and sport.

In 1998, a cricket event took place in the last games of the Commonwealth. Only boys had the opportunity to play in that room. South Africa won the gold medal in 50 over.
