In this case, the special court of law, established in the MP building of the Jatiya Sangsad building, sentenced Nazmul Huda to seven years in a verdict, and Sigma Huda was sentenced to three years in prison on 27 August of the same year. The couple appealed to the High Court against the verdict. After the hearing on the appeal, the High Court acquitted them in a verdict on March 20, 2011. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) appealed to the Appeals Division against the High Court verdict. The Appeals Division then set aside the verdict of the High Court on December 1, 2014, and again ordered the High Court trial. The High Court again gave the verdict after the hearing. It is said that the verdict has proven the bribe accusation against the Nuda Huda couple. However, the court reduced the seven-year sentence from Nazmul Huda to seven years to four years. And Sigma Huda's sentence was reduced to three years. The High Court gave the verdict a punishment for Sigma Huda because he was in prison for the moment.
