One of the men was shot in the South Keys Shopping Center on Friday night.
The Ottawa Police Service said shooting took place at 6.20. The death of man was confirmed just before 10:00.

Until mid-evening, about seven police cruisers were grouped around a parking section at the northern end of the mall, between a CIBC bench and a Mucho Burrito restaurant.
The area was closed with yellow tape, but the shops remained open and the shoppers were still busy.

A deputy said he saw the police scanning the ground near the bench, with lights as if he wanted to find shells.
However, shop staff near the scene said they did not see anything in the shootings. All the windows in those stores are heading east to Bank Street, and it seems the shot was right around the corner and they did not see it.
