WPP combines the famous JWT agency with the Wunderman digital arm

LONDON (Reuters) – WPP said on Monday it will merge the famous JWT agency with Wunderman digital clothing into the most attractive effort, but the world's largest advertising group to streamline its business.

WPP said the new Wunderman Thompson would position itself to offer the full range of advertising services, including creative work, data, commerce, consulting, and technology to support its customers.

Founded in 1864 and based in New York, JWT is one of the world's most popular advertising agencies. The first agency to promote a TV commercial now supports customers including HSBC, Unilever, Rolex, Nestle and others.

Wunderman is a leading digital agency that was administered by Mark Read, the new WPP chief.
