Viña San Pedro Tarapacá (VSPT) has reached an agreement with Pernod Ricard Argentina to acquire a range of wines and wine brands on the other side of the mountain chain, especially in the province of San Juan.
According to El Cronista, the company linked the CCU (Luksic and Heineken Group) to the Graffigna, Colón and Santa Silvia brands, Graffigna winemaking, and La Consulta vineyard in Valle de Uco, Mendoza. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
In a statement, Pernod Ricard said he had decided to sell these assets "to concentrate local resources on wine and sparkling wine production at its Salta and Mendoza factories and the production of spirits at the Buenos Aires plant."
According to the information in this environment, both parties expect to close the operation this year, awaiting competition authorities.

The VSPT has two large vineyards in the neighboring country, Finca La Celia and Bodega Tamarí, located in Valle de Uco, Mendoza.
