Ahmed Malik announced the participation of The Guest at the Black Knights Festival in Tallinn, Estonia to represent Egypt and Africa in the official competition to be his first international show at the 22nd session of the festival.
"The film has a very special place for me, I tried to use different techniques and I forgot to try," Malik told his Twitter social networking site.
The Cairo Film Festival at its 40th session, which is due to begin next Tuesday, has refused to attend the film because it has participated in other festivals, which is contrary to the festival regulations.
