ALTICE EUROPE PURCHASE HIGH PRICE FOR COMMERCIAL "REMONTADA"
In the third quarter, Altice Europe has achieved the best trading performance in France since 2005, driven by the Champions League Dissemination and an aggressive pricing strategy that is based on its profitability.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, European Telecom Operator controlled by Patrick Drahi announced that its SFR subsidiary won one million customers from the beginning of the year on a French market marked by a price battle with unprecedented intensity.
The operator claims to have erased the client's bleed-up following the takeover by the billionaire entrepreneur three years ago, according to a calculation that excludes prepaid mobile customers and includes OTT subscribers.
"Since the beginning of 2018, Altice Europe has consistently exceeded its operational recovery plan," Patrick Drahi said in a statement.
"Altice Europe will return to growth in 2019".
This trade recovery, however, has a cost on the results of the group whose Ebitda dropped 10.4% in the third quarter to almost 1.3 billion euros for a turnover of 6.1% 3.44 billion.
Average subscriber revenue, a key measure in the sector, fell dramatically to 31.7 euros in the previous year compared to 35.9 euros per year and 22.4 euros per mobile one (compared to 25.8 euros ).
