The death of Stan Lee, the father of X-Men, Avengers or Spiderman

Birth and Beginnings

Son of the Romanian Jewish immigrants who came to settle in the United States, the little Stanley Martin Lieber was born on December 28, 1922. Very young, he is in the comic publishing that he works. More than 20 years old, he is editor at Timely Comics after two legendary comic strip comedies: Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, nothing less than the creators of Captain America. At the end of the Second World War and despite the crisis affecting the comedy, Stan continues to write scriptures of all kinds.

Golden Age

Since the early 60s, Stan has created for Marvel (the new name of Comics Timely) a lot of super heroes starting with "The Fantastic Four," which has decided with Superman super-traditional. Here the characters have more human aspirations and feelings, they support, they have emotional problems, they wonder about the meaning of their existence … Follows the pantheon of future villains with Hulk, Spider-Man, Iron Man, X -Mai, … this will brings glory. Overwhelmed by the abundance of his personal characters, he invented the mnemonic trick of using the same letter as the original name and name of many of his heroes, so we find Peter Parker (Spider-Man), Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Bruce Banner Hulk) or Susan Storm (X-Men)

In spite of success in the United States, Europe remains largely faithful to the Franco-Belgian comic and it's a successful Spider-Man, Avengers and other X-Men that will make Lee a cult figure in our country. Especially because his flash and almost systematic appearances in movies and series drawn from his characters become an expected moment for fans. So we see him take his own role in the first Iron Man, as a DJ in Deadpool, or as a passenger on a Doctor Strange bus.

His Hollywood Star of Fame star was inaugurated in 2011, is just one of the many awards for his great career.

He died at the age of 95.
