On the night of Thursday and Friday, there is a new Mediterranean episode. The rains are expected from the second part of the night from Thursday to Friday, will be strengthened and will be sustained locally and will be accompanied by storms on Gard and especially on the coast. An orange alert is triggered by Météo France.

These rains will reach east of Languedoc, Cevennes and Ardèche on Friday morning and will become more marked on the relief. They can be accompanied by drowned mass storms.

The rains intensify on Friday afternoon

The weather will continue to deteriorate with the passage of hours. In the afternoon and until the beginning of the evening there will be strong storms. These will be accompanied by abundant rainfall, but also by the risk of hail and violent gusts of wind.

From 80 to 120 mm of water

Throughout the episode, the cumulating rains in the most exposed areas of the plains can reach 80 to 100 mm, 120 mm local. Most of the precipitation has to take place on Cévennes Gardoises and Ardèche, as they can be more sustainable. The totals should be higher.

The end of the alert on Friday evening

The orange alert is in place from Friday 11h to 22h. On Saturday, the weather is calm and sunny. But on Sunday, the weather should deteriorate west again during the day, with the arrival of rainfall south of the South Central Massif of the Rhône Valley.
