Rumors about a possible change of Benjamin Pavard from Stuttgart to Bayern have been a few months. They are now drawn by a newspaper report. At the center: a judge.
From the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where Benjamin Pavard played excellent and took the title with France, the Stuttgart defender is associated with Bayern München. The Bild tabloid reported, for example, during the World Cup in Russia that the record champion will hire 22-year-olds in the summer of 2019 for 35 million euros.
Meeting with Bavaria-Justiziar in Moscow
Now another report on this issue – but this time at the "Süddeutsche Zeitung". And there it becomes interesting: according to the media, Bavarian lawyer, Michael Gerliner, should have negotiated with Pavard during the World Cup. According to SZ, "no one will notice when Gerlinger meets with France, Benjamin Pavard, in Moscow, to organize a transfer for him in the summer of 2019." Gerlinger, whose job is officially named the "Directors' Law, is little known to the public and rarely appears in this regard. Occasionally he works as a sports referee at the DFB.
The specific report mentions 26 June as the expected date of the meeting. As France played in the first round of Moscow against Denmark. On the edge of the meeting, where Pavard was not used, it should have been a meeting. However, the defensive player did not play high until then, for example in the 16th round when he scored 2-2 with a dream goal.
The rest is history: France has also become world champion due to a strong Pavards and its market value shot through the roof. Meanwhile, this is estimated at "Transfermarkt.de" at 40 million – and most likely, continues to grow. The transfer fee of 35 million euros distributed by "Bild" seems to be a sensitive investment for Bayern.
