Xbox One: Mouse and Keyboard Support for 15 announced titles

[ad_1]

In October, Microsoft released a firmware that extends the game console to include mouse and keyboard support. Starting next week, the first games will support this feature. A total of eight Xbox with mouse and keyboard can be played back by the end of November.

This was announced by Redmond at the Xbox Event "X018". One of the first games to play with your mouse and keyboard is the Fortnite by Epic Games shooter. Already in three days, an update will be available for Fortnite and Warframe. According to Poligon, in November, among others, Bomber Crew, Thunder War and X-Morph defense. Seven other titles, including DayZ, Moonlighter and Wargroove, will be further equipped with mouse and keyboard support.

Fortnite players compete against PC gamers

To prevent unjust play, all Xbox players with controllers are separated by players using the Fortnite mouse and keyboard. So, Xbox owners could compete so far against other console players. This will change from next week: if you play with your mouse and keyboard on Xbox One, you will be confronted with Xbox players with the same settings or even PC players in the future.

In addition, Microsoft has announced a collaboration with the Razer hardware manufacturer. The two companies want to develop more wireless mice and keyboards specifically designed for Xbox One.

Practically, game developers are free, no matter if they integrate mouse and keyboard support into their own games. However, in order for most of the console owners not to be disadvantaged, the game must not be replaced completely.
