Last week, Friday, November 2, a contract was signed between OASA and Confidex LTD to provide Fare Card products as "smart cards" required during the operation of the "Automatic Collection Scheme" (ASRS).
According to SRE / IEP, 500,000 cards and 51,700,000 multiple tickets will be generated to meet the needs of the public transport system for more than a year.
The contract was granted for 8 months and was signed at OASA headquarters between Ioannis Skoumbouris, Managing Director and Confidex LTD, Timo Olavi Lindstrom.
"The organization has been able to obtain the most economical fee for providing tickets and electronic cards at the beginning of the electronic ticket," said OASA Director Ioannis Skoubouris.
