Mercedes reveals details of the latest luxury SUV

Mercedes has unveiled details of its latest luxury SUV – the new GLE, which offers several improvements including an extra rear seat cushion, the latest MBUX iteration of the Mercedes Infotainment System and a pair of upgraded engines.

The range starts with GLE 300d, which replaces 250d. Despite the name, there is still a 2.0-liter engine – a four-cylinder engine that produces 242 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It is able to reach speeds of 0-60 km / h in 7.0 seconds and will reach 46.3mpg, emitting 162g / km of CO2, although the larger dimensions of the wheels will increase these emissions.

For those who prefer gasoline, Mercedes offers the GLE 450 – powered by a six-cylinder engine with an easily attached hybrid "EQ Boost". The 48V setting adds a 22hp output to the car, delivering a total torque of 362 hp and a torque of 500 Nm.

The 450 is capable of 0-60 km / h in 5.5 seconds and will return to 33.6mpg while emitting 191g / km of CO2.

All GLE models feature the latest MBUX infotainment system, divided into two 12.3-inch (12.3-inch) dashboards and center console. These include features such as augmented navigation, which cover front-end power forwarding instructions as well as voice activation.

All cars also receive 20-inch AMG alloy wheels, illuminated handles and panels, private windows, heated front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, two-zone air conditioning and active parking assistance.

GLE 450 adds active pneumatic suspension as well as a seven-seat package. It includes a third row of foldable manuals plus a four-zone air conditioning system. Optional equipment includes a premium Burmester audio system, keyless headlights, LED headlights, wireless charging and an off-road package.
