After months of speculation and vague suggestions about the launch of the post-International 2018 major patch, we have a confirmation from Valve.
In a blog post released on Nov. 5 on Dota 2 website, Valve congratulated Tigers to win DreamLife Season 10. And in the last line of the post, the developer suggested the date of the patch launch.
Valva escaped fans of bombs that were waiting for months, that the much-anticipated patch of 7.20 would be released on November 19th – a day after the Kuala Lumpur Major competition.
Kuala Lumpur Major, the first of 2018-19 endow Pro Circuit will be held from 9 to 18 November. There will be 16 teams fighting for a $ 1 million prize pool and 15,000 DPC points. Those points decide which teams will receive invitations to Invitational 2019, so teams who win the Majors usually have a pretty good shot at the entrance.
This patch release date is perfect because it gives teams a lot of time to practice using the new changes before the next DPC event – Bucharest Minor, on January 9th. Meta will probably see a revision, which means that the games will include a lot of experiments until the players figure out what works.
