DURBAN – coach Orlando Pirates, Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic loves a player who has the confidence to show his skills, unlike most foreign coaches.

Foreign coaches have been criticized in the past to limit the freedom of players to express themselves, but the Serbian tactician is not on the list.

Pirates advanced Saturday's style because they got better from AmaZulu to reach the Telkom Knockout semifinals at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Buccaneers won 3-1 winners from the Thembinkosi Lorch kick and Xola Mlambo's singular kick. Bongi Ntuli was able to score the sunny goal for Usuthu.

Thabo Qalinge and Mlambo began to showboat after making two goals in extra time.

Sredojevic, told the press that after the game does not bother his entertainment players.

"You have to understand something, football is played for supporters," Sredojevic said. "We are here to serve them. Last year we cured our souls. This year we want to feed ourselves.

"When something like this comes as the team effort (there is no problem). It was not the intention of not respecting the opponent. It was an intention to attract our supporters and thank them for the support they have offered. "

Pirates are in full swing. They are unbeaten in the last nine games in all competitions and their fans are delighted.

"We want them (our supporters) to return to their happy homes, because life is not a bed of roses. In all the bitterness of their lives we want (they enjoy) a little sweetness and that's exactly what happened .

I have absolute respect for AmaZulu team coach, Cavin Johnson and his team. The best way to keep possession is to keep the ball and we finally try to defend ourselves (by keeping the possession), "Sredojevic said.

His team wins, scores and plays well structured football, but Sredojevic has to support this with some silverware.

Those supporters he's been talking about have been troubled over the last four years. They have even forgotten how to taste success.

Luckily for the cooks, Sredojevic is aware of the importance of closing the Mayfair trophy drought.

"With regard to the importance of this Cup, any match or any Orlando Pirates Cup is the most important match of our lives and so we are approaching it. As we speak, supporters return home happy after winning. Let them have the elements of happiness.

This is now history and everything focuses on Polokwane City on Tuesday. We play against a competitive team. Rama G (Rodney Ramagalela) and the company. We expect a tough game and now we focus our attention, "Sredojevic explained.
