An airport trip does not always offer much to explore other than a few shops and restaurants, but an airport raises the stakes seriously with a new magical offer.
That's because Changi airport in Singapore has been transformed into Harry Potter's Wizarding world, and the muggles will already be mad!
The wizards and witches who wore their brooms in favor of the planes will feel at home in Changi, who will boast from Hogsmeade with Hogwarts Express to Diagon Alley and Menagerie to Newt Scamander.
Together with Warner Bros to celebrate the release of Fantastics: Crimes of Grindelwald, fans will take part in a range of activities, including their dressing as their favorite wizards, homemade apparel, learning spells and even practicing Quidditch skills!
There are four pop-ups on the three Changi airport terminals, all inspired by both the original Harry Potter franchise and the new Fantastic Beasts series.
For example, Airport Terminal 3 will be transformed into Hogsmeade, where guests can search for the Zonko Joker Store, Madam Puddifoot Tea Shop and the Honeydukes Sweets Shop.
In addition, for an extraordinary touch of magic, passengers will be treated with daily snow and light, so they really feel they have arrived in the Wizarding world during the festive season.
Meanwhile, Hogwarts students can head to Diagon Alley, where they can dress in their clothes, capture a GIF photo in front of a magical mirror, and challenge them to put their skills in the test. (And, of course, there will be a lot of memorable official Harry Potter to pick up too).
The athlete can try his hand at Quaffle Toss where you walk on a table and throw the Quaffle balls into a series of circles to win points.
Meanwhile, those fascinated by fantastic beasts can walk in the footsteps of Newt Scamander and play with a giant Niffler, moving in motion, putting brightest coins until he overcame. (Or go to Terminal 1 where you will find a selection of magical creatures hiding).
Meanwhile, Terminal 2 will be home to a replica of Whomping magic Willow – get up to get a selfie if you dare …
The Wizarding World pop-up will be broadcast by mid-February 2019 – if you are traveling to Singapore, it's worth a visit – remember that you still have a flight to catch in the midst of all the magic!
