Tonight, the winners of the four "South Film" awards were announced at the closing ceremony at the Oslo Scene Vega.

"The film that receives the jury's favor is a well-founded, well-targeted story […] A silent story […] where the answers are never flat, and the story is never over-trained. This film shows the power of a good film story. "
New voices: Festival of the latest contest program New votes consisted of 11 films by first and second directors. The winner of the new voice this year is the movie Ayka by Sergey Dvortsevoj of Kazakhstan. The jury was made up of film critics Britt Sørensen, Kristin Aalen and Jon Iversen. They have, among other things, drawn the manuscript and the photograph in its rationale: "The script still surprises with unpredictable and effective transformations." The camera works have documentary qualities that physically approach our protagonist.
DOC: SOUTH: This year's actor DOC: SØR is the French-Congolese film Makala by Emmanuel Gras. The jury consisted of Brynjar Bjerkem, Helene Eggen and Verona Meier. Extract from the jury statement: "A movie that combines an excellent cinema and a story that, despite being minimalist, is capable of being very engaging, moving and captivating."
PRIZE OF THE PUBLIC: The winner is shoplifters by Hirokazu Koreeda.
