Lt. company firefighter César Ramos Tello was injured when they extinguished the fire from an oil factory located in the village of noven Chosica del Norte in the La Victoria district.
Company firefighters Compañía Salvadora no. 27 managed to control the fire after heavy efforts and obstacles and when Ramos attempted to close the key of the factory's bottles, it resulted in burns.
"We hope he will recover soon and that his injuries are not very serious. My friend who helped him said the fire had reached his suit and that he managed to quench him using the foam he had at his disposal, "explained Jorge Estuqui.
Commander of Firefighting Company Salvador no. 27, Jorge Estuqui, explained that the fire was of great proportions because it was a recycled petroleum plant where more than 20 firefighters from 4 companies worked.
