Doodle with which google remember this day refers to the message Arecibo. This was a radial transmission sent in space from radio telescope in Arecibo , located in Puerto Rico on November 16, 1974, 44 years ago.
Although the main objective was to show human technological achievements and commemorate the remodeling of the Arecibo radio telescope in a singular way, it was noticed that instead of emitting any sound in space, a coded message was conceived, to converse with an intelligent civilization capable of receiving and decoding it.
The message was 1679 bits long and was sent to the cluster called the M13 (Globular Cluster). This cluster is in Hercules constellation at a distance of about 25,000 light years and is made up of about 400,000 stars.
This message had a series of data on our planet and its position in the solar system, our civilization, our human being, our chemical composition and our DNA, and was designed by Frank Drake, Carl Sagan, among others.
All sound or bit sequences are encoded so that they are decoded in quadrants. There are 8 possible configurations, the 8 symmetries of the same model, showing a non-random drawing. which can be seen in different ways, but which lead to the same information.
This drawing could be divided into seven parts, each dedicated to one aspect of the human being, its place and its composition:
1. Numbers: The first "line" of the message has numbers from 1 to 10 written in binary format.
2. Molecules: Numbers 1, 6, 7, 8 and 15 represent hydrogen (H), carbon (C), nitrogen (N), oxygen (O) and phosphorus (P).
These are the DNA components of Homo Sapiens Sapiens, which sends the message.
3. Formulations of sugars and bases in DNA nucleotides:

4. The double helical structure of DNA: which all living beings on the Earth share (the vertical bar represents the number of nucleotides).
5. Figure of a human being: with average height data: 1764 mm. In addition to the size of the human population coded in 32 bits: 4 292 853 750.
6. Solar System: Shows the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and also Pluto. The planet from where the message came is uncharacteristically highlighted. The number of points refers to the size of the planet in question.
7. The last part represents the Arecibo radio telescope with its diameter (2430 multiplied by the wavelength resulting in 306.18 m).
Although the message will take about 25 millennia to reach its destination and therefore 25 more millennia in which a possible answer returns to our planet, this message is still part of man's efforts to contact intelligent life in space .
Answer?
On August 21, 2001, an alleged answer to the Arecibo message appeared in a field of wheat adjacent to the Chilbolton telescope in Hampshire (United Kingdom).
Although many UFO researchers thought it would be a response to the message. Official information attributes the preparation of this image to wheat fields to the scientific staff working in the nearby radio telescope.
