Toyota, the sporting brand Gazoo Racing, arrived in South America with this: Toyota Hilux GR Sport. The new model was unveiled at the Sao Paulo Auto Show and only 420 will be produced for the Brazilian market when deliveries begin in 2019.
The main changes of GR Sport are cosmetic. The Gazoo Racing Offset Pack adds strips across the pick-up side; are finished either in black or red (if you go for white body color), white and red (black paint) or black and white (red paint), while a black hood is available on white cars.

The front grille, side mirrors and roll bars are also blackened, while the front fog lamp surrounds contrasting gains. The exterior changes are rounded by a set of 17 inch black alloy wheels.
The detail blocks continue inside. Leather seats have contrasting red stitching and Gazoo Racing logos are sewn in the front headrests. The GR marker also extends to the start button and a numbered plate behind the gear selector.
The only mechanical change comes to suspension: GR Sport has firmer springs and new shock absorbers. Elsewhere, it is the same as the Hilux standard: GR Sport is powered by a 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine (other versions of Brazil – Hilux are also available with gasoline / ethanol engines), producing a couple of 175 CP and a torque of 450 Nm.
The four-cylinder unit is adapted to a six-speed automatic gearbox and a full-drive system with a lock differential.
