It has been said for a very long time that Oppo will officially enter Poland soon. Initially it was supposed to be the end of the year, but at this point we have to wait a little longer. However, the company feels slow, which was a sign of an invitation from several editorial offices in Poland for the premiere of the RX17 Pro in Milan, where we had the opportunity to know the equipment originally.
I'm not hiding that the RX17 Pro is the first Oppo smartphone I've had the opportunity to hold in my hands for a long time. Therefore, I am very interested in what you can expect from the phone itself as well as the ColorOS overlay, under which specific device is hidden Android 8.1 Oreo.
Mint Radiation is specific, but it can be enjoyable
I am very pleased that manufacturers are slowly and boldly approaching the issue of the color versions they launch their smartphones. This was initiated by Huawei in the P20 Pro Twilight, later was taken by the Chinese manufacturers to become more and more widespread. OnePlus launched 6T in the Thunder Purple version, and the RX17 Pro appeared in a very original version of the Radiant Mint.
Looking at adapting the RX17 Pro directly, you can see that the left half is purple and the straight half is purple. The fact is, however, that the reception of these colors depends on the angle we hold on the phone, but also on how the light falls on it. One thing is certain: this makes the RX17 Pro like. And when it comes to the fact that the dwelling is boring … you might wonder what you want. In addition to the notch, we have a tear in which the front camera lens and the 19.5: 9 screen are hidden, around which are relatively narrow frames.
An interesting flavor is the top and bottom of the model, which are not flat, as is the case with standard phones. Here is a mild depression that has no use, but it makes the whole look more interesting.
Of the things to look out for, there is another room that goes over the room. However, if you use the phone if it is attached to the box, the frame of the camera will be over it, which means putting the RX17 Pro on the back will not cause it to touch the ground. However, there is a spread: why to cover a beautiful silicone case? Well …
Fingerprint reader on screen
Writing these words in my mind, I think the Oppo RX17 Pro is the "next smartphone" with a fingerprint reader on the screen. And they're on the medicine market. The reader is located at the bottom of the screen, slightly over the lower edge – much lower than the Huawei Mate 20 Pro recently tested. It is difficult for me to say at this point which places are more comfortable and I am convinced that this is just a matter of changing habits.
How does this reader work? Correctly, but the process of unlocking the phone with it is slower than using face recognition, which works very quickly and smoothly.
What is its ColorOS Software?
The RX17 Pro is based on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2 overlay. The first contact with him reminded me of the MIUI overlay with Xiaomi – they seem to have much in common. And will we find new additions here?
The first thing that strikes the eye with the software is the longitudinal bar at the right edge of the screen. And I immediately thought of the Smart Launch from Sony Xperia XZ3, which we quickly turned off. In this case, however, there are no active edges whose touches open the submenu. Here a static bar is displayed on the screen, which pulls from the right edge to the media to allow us access to quick tools (screen shot, troublesome mode – no longer exists) and shortcuts to selected applications. So far, it looks like a beautiful solution and, if it is actually useful, will appear "in the wash" during use. The smart sidebar works by default, both vertically and horizontally, but you can only activate horizontal operation in the settings or stop completely.
mode Smart driver is something that attracted me a lot. It can automatically connect the phone to the car kit, and can switch the incoming calls to the speaker, block the calls from the application, or send an automated SMS message after rejecting the call, with predefined content such as "I can not speak now, drive." A nice thing, and certainly interesting in terms of safety while driving a car.
Other things:

Super fast upload – up to 100% in 40 minutes
I was very surprised at Huawei Mate 20 Pro charging speed – a rechargeable 4200 mAh battery from zero to full in just one hour. The RX17 Pro processor is even better, this time it has been reduced to … 40 minutes. All due to the fact that two 1850 mAh batteries are used, which are charged at the same time due to SuperVOOC charging. Most importantly, loading is secure and certified by German TUV. There are five security cores – two in the charger, two in the phone and one in the cable.
I have nothing else to do but to check. And this opportunity will come tomorrow.

The most important thing I will try without a doubt during the test is the room – because he is very much praised by the manufacturer himself. Interestingly, he also used artificial intelligence and night mode. So far, it's hard to say – until I get the equipment longer, I will refrain from evaluating the quality of the photos.
It's also important that the RX17 Pro have NFC, and the exciting things you have to do is the screen or, in fact, its protection – it's the first smartphone from Gorilla Glass 6.
And that would be good enough for the first impressions of the Oppo RX17 Pro. It's difficult to say a little more without carefully testing the device and you know how you need time. However, there is a good chance the phone will soon come to me for the tests, so I will have the opportunity to get to know him better and give you my opinion about it.
