The smartphone market in China is very competitive, with most domestic manufacturers offering cutting-edge technology at lower prices than foreign companies. This does not mean that users do not want Apple or Samsung products, but just that the price difference is often not warranted. But there seems to be a lot of Apple fans in China, as Singles Day, a rebellion tradition similar to Black Friday, has succeeded in selling most of the phones, surpassing the leaders in this market and leaving Samsung far behind.
The iPhones were one day in the first place in China, overtaking Huawei, Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO and other local brands, which usually dominate the sales and market charts in the region. In comparison, Samsung placed only eighth in the Singles Day reductions. Thus, we can see that Apple could have a much larger market share than at present, at least in China, if the prices of its products were closer to the users' possibilities.
In total, Singles Day cuts made $ 30.8 billion in sales in China. More than 237 brands each succeeded in over 100 million yuan sales (about $ 14.3 million), and Apple is one of these companies.
These sales are very good news for Apple, especially now that the number of units sold lower in the last few quarters has lowered the second-place company to third place. An increase in sales is also expected in the coming weeks on Black Friday in Western countries, but often reductions to Apple products are too low compared to competition.
