Mitsubishi announces the world premiere of the new L200 pickup truck in Bangkok, Thailand. The vehicle will be launched in the other ASEAN markets as well as in Oceania, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Latin America. This model will be available in around 150 countries around the world.
The new L200 is the latest version of the model that celebrates this year 40 years since its release and is produced at the Laem Chabang factory operated by Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Co. Ltd. (MMTh).
Among the elements that make it significantly more competitive include: a stronger style incorporating the latest interpretation of the Dynamic Shield front design concept; an enhanced 4WD system that delivers better off-road performance and the latest active safety technology and driver assistance systems. Overall, the new model presents significant improvements to the durability and reliability required by the commercial user and user-specific comfort.
The restored interior of the L200 expresses a modern and robust feeling with contours for the control panel and air vents. The high-quality image is created by soft materials and stitching of the floor console, armrests and the parking brake area.
The new L200 4WD models feature either Super-Select 4WD, which provides optimal traction and handling characteristics for any surface, or Easy-Select 4WD, which simplifies the shift from one mode to another for different field surfaces. With the addition of new driving modes, both 4WD systems deliver improved off-road performance.
