He stressed that this campaign addresses the important point of preventing diabetes (type II) because it is known that type II diabetes has become widespread throughout the world, including among our children in Saudi society, especially in the Gulf, in general due to the prevalence of obesity The prevalence of obesity is the main cause of diabetes and has many causes: changing lifestyle from rural life to urban life and keeping it away from healthy food, transforming into fast food rich in calories and fast- It has become one of the greatest risks facing all the children of the world and many damage to the health of the individual and society and unfortunately has become widespread in most neighborhoods of each city at the local and global level, providing facilities for the individual and the community, leading to a lack of movement and standing in front television and computer games and electronic games, which led to a high prevalence of obesity, and the heritage plays an important role in the genetic preparation of obesity as well as in the emergence of type II diabetes.
