To be honest, perhaps someone can remain indifferent when they see the true "fic". But according to the models of this car – made by Dusan Jaksic – it is difficult.
This Smederevac himself says he did not make the most perfect replica of the popular "Flag 750".
However, the time when it was created (the ninety years) and all the ways of high school student Dusan dictating to finish it, these models "give" give a special stamp and has no value for its creator.
"And they gave me the money for him, but I will not separate myself from my son. Otherwise, I like" fic. "I have a real one," says Dusan.
Asked what is most difficult for him, he answers:
"Nothing was hard for me. It was exciting and challenging – to find a way to participate in the moment when there were not so many things available today." I liked problem solving and improvisation.
I've made every piece of work a kind of game. For example, how to make a cable? I take the PTT cable, remove the copper, remove the cable from the bicycle, fix a cable, pull through the insulation of the cable and get a wire with a wire. There are many other examples. The design of this model lasted from September 1992 to March 1994, but it is difficult to tell exactly how many hours worked. I worked all day, sometimes an afternoon … "
Many are delighted at first glance. However, only when they have learned the whole story – at what time and under what conditions the model was made, how much will, enthusiasm and love for cars, how much effort and commitment to the details, then it is possible to understand why this model is so special B92.
When you find out that in those years, the young Dusan managed to make details of the motorcycle and cabin, which will really act truly, you realize that this could not be done without much love for cars.
"Otherwise, we made some models before this, including the 1957 Opel olympia," Chevrolet Beler "in 1957 (the decision fell after the movie" Dirty Dance "in which Patrick Chevy runs this car)" Cadillac Eldorado "in 1960. However, they are all made at the 1:43 scale, and the "fiesta" is in the 1:11 ratio – it can be said to be the most advanced technical point of view. "
"The body is autonomous – we have made the first skeleton. The basic profiles, the profile of the front bonnet, the central profile, the transverse rear and the rear are made of 0.5 mm thick galvanized plate. The front and rear interior construction as well as the bottom are made of cardboard with a thickness of 1.0 mm. Then I installed the semicircles, the roof, the wings, the front link …
We made outer panels of ultra-thin paper in five layers, glued with wood glue (the so-called paper-mass technique). Each panel is made separately. I made a mold for their drawing using the drawings in the orthogonal projection, then I made a cardboard skeleton, filled it with plaster and worked. The interior design of the door, side panels and roof is made of wood while using a 0.8 mm aluminum sheet to strengthen the boot lid and the engine cover. "
He insisted that the door and the hood could be closed.
"The doors have 0.3 mm thick sheet metal hinges and have an opening / closing mechanism, so to see the interior, you have to pull the door handle and open the door like a real machine, the same goes for the hood from the rear or the hood To open the front hatch (boot) – you must pull the lever under the dash panel There is a spare wheel, a fuel tank and a brake fluid reservoir with the appropriate installation in the luggage compartment.
We get to the engine, which is also very exciting.
"Engine compartment – engine and cardboard block, engine head and wooden valve cover, same fuel, fuel pump, water pump and exhaust pipe, cooling wheels, fan and carton, exhaust pipe in layers and Tubes PVC 3 mm diameter, compaction vessel of a hot plastic molding system in a mold, wood burning distributor … "
As he closes his last hood, Dusan continues to explain how he produced different details.
"The branches are made of wood, covered with aluminum foil, sheet metal wipers (0.3 mm) and rubber, PVC (0.3 mm) glass, cardboard, cardboard, aluminum and PVC foil, decorative roses (0.5 mm), coated aluminum foil. The hot-formed plastic discs in the die and the colored inside have a body-sealing gasket. "
"The cabin – the roof of the roof, the seats have a copper construction covered with a plush black wallpaper. The front functional seats – moves backwards under the black-and-black velvet, a copper steering wheel with a combined switch for lights and transmissions. The front panel has a PVC lining and is decorated with aluminum elements, equipped with a main switch for lights and a pixel. Cardboard instrumentation with speedometer, temperature indicators and fuel quantity. "
Suspension is particularly interesting. The front is independent, 100% functional. Spring arched leaf (arch) made of steel (from a coil from the clock) in three layers, threaded and fixed with 1 mm screws for the chassis. Supporting galvanized galvanized sheet metal brackets and gaskets, galvanized steel plate with copper wheel shaft. Trap elements are interconnected by 1.5 mm screws and nuts. Copper furnaces. The wheels move left and right, but the steering wheel does not work. It could have been – the problem was too technically demanded at that time because of the lack of materials and parts needed.
The last suspension is independent, with 100% functional. Zinc plated steel plates with copper shafts and helical springs with a diameter of 10 mm – connected by chassis and glued. The wheels can be removed. Tires are "finished products", while wheels and wheel caps are made. "
"At the end of 1993, there was a competition for car models for the 100th SAT show. I had another model of the" 1964 ", which was not so detailed and precise. sent it and I hoped for a reward. They awarded the first, second and third prizes to other works, my disappointment, but then the surprise – I received a special prize outside the competition, because my model was much more well done, "recalls Dusan.
In March 1994, he was invited to a car show to present his award-winning model. However, he brought this new model, which was very well received. He exhibited at the fair in the next few years.
He received the "Zastava" factory prize, where he was invited to look at the entire production process and visit the Institute for Development.
Last time in 2003, he exhibited a model at the fair in front of the company "fića" – Zemun National Class. Namely, Dusan also has a real "fic", older than him for several years, where he went to numerous meetings, visited Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia …
They were invited to the fair as an association on the occasion of the centenary of the first car arrival in Serbia.
Unfortunately, the "National Class" Club no longer exists. The rest are other fan clubs and many enthusiasts, such as Dusan Jaksic, thanks to whom "fića" continues to live.
