Old government adviser Konrad Gisler (SVP) died on Saturday at the age of 94. The Zurich government board took note of his departure with deep sadness, he said on Monday.
With Konrad Gisler, the Zurich government council lost a former colleague of value, continuing. Gisler was elected to the Government Council in 1977 and remained until his resignation in 1987 in front of the police and the military headquarters. In 1983/84 he chaired the government council.
During his term of office he fell, among other things, the creation of the new Reppischtal rifle dust, the reorganization of the Cantonal Defense Civic Office and the promotion of sport at the local level.
The trained farmer worked between 1943 and 1959 as a municipal official of Flaach. From 1959 to 1972 he was a full-time municipal official and then head of the cooperative system at the Nordstschweizerischer Association of Dairy and Dairy Products in Winterthur.
From 1963 to 1977 Gisler was a member of the Cantonal Council of Zurich in 1976/77 and even his president. (Anf / SDA)
