Micron Technology announced the launch of mass production of the most capable LPDDR4x monolithic RAM chips DRAM.
LPDDR4X (Low Power DDR4X) are designed for use in various mobile devices. These can be smartphones, tablets, etc.

Micron Technology has started production of monolithic chips LPDDR4x-4266 with a capacity of 12 Gbps. These are made using 10 nanometer technology.
New products reduce energy consumption by about 10% compared to previous generation chips with similar speed characteristics.
Network sources add that new chips can handle smartphones with 12 GB of RAM. The first such devices are expected to appear on the market as early as next year.
