Nicki Minaj returned to her old hometown in New York City to hand out 500 turkeys for Thanksgiving.

Celebrities are doing the most of this season when it comes to offering a helping hand during the holidays – and it's a cute sight to behold.

The 35-year-old headed back to Queens in her metallic coat and a black tracksuit on Wednesday.

The Pink Friday rapper's fans lined up the streets to catch a glimpse of the star as she arrived with her mother Carol by her side.

She greeted the crowd and took many pictures with fans before getting behind the table to hand out Thanksgiving meals.

The singer handed out more than 500 turkeys to the South Jamaica residents and then posed for pictures with New York City Police Department's Commanding Officer Jerry O'Sullivan.

"I think the commanding officer was negotiating to become Nicki Minaj's new manager. Im pulling for you Inspector. #nikiminajturkeygiveaway. '

The rapper later shared a post to Instagram about the day and thanked her hometown for attending the charitable event.

She wrote alongside a picture with her mother: 'Mommy & I had a great time with y'all today. (Yea, that's her with the hoodie on?). Love all of you for coming out. @seanbellrecords & @bone_mbz + everyone who helped make this happen today, thank you so much. QUEENS #QGTM LOVE YOU 4 LIFE. '

Elsewhere in LA, Kevin Hart, Pharrell Williams, Loni Love, Minnie Driver and Nia Long handed out a warm meal, clothes and hygiene kit at Los Angeles Mission.

Volunteers – including celebs – helped out by setting up tables before handing out food and care packages.
