November 12, 2018, 23:15Caracas, November 12 (Prensa Latina) Tourism Minister Stella Lugo said today that more than 70 countries are due to attend the 13th edition of the International Tourism Fair in Venezuela (FitVen 2018), which begins on November 22. .
He also explained that in the leisure sector, 148 national and foreign investor stadia will be installed to show their product in the world through the Venezuelan platform by November 25.
Lugo said that at this international fair they will meet with the authorities of the countries and tour operators who have confirmed their assistance in gaining experience in consolidating the national portfolio, rich in areas of nature, traditions and indigenous culture in the region.
He also pointed out that Filven 2018, besides presenting the country's gastronomic and artisanal features, "will try to reverse the media discrediting campaign against Simón Bolívar's homeland."
"The entire tourism sector, both private and public, has only one purpose: to reverse the international campaign and to raise tourism, and that is what we will achieve," he said in terms of the importance of uniting alliances with people Venezuelan business and strengthening the nation's tourism infrastructure
Lugo stressed that the Ministry of Tourism's objective is to become one of Venezuela's sustainable economic sources.
